Flaming Lips, David Guetta top Buku 2014 Lineup

In its third year, the EDM-centric festival further broadens its musical lineup.

When the Buku Music and Arts Project started in 2012, it did so with a strong focus on electronic dance music. Last year it broadened its horizons to include indie rock and hip-hop, and when it returns to Mardi Gras World March 21 and 22, 2014, it will do so with The Flaming Lips as one of its headliners. 

Today the festival released its talent lineup, which also includes David Guetta, Ellie Goulding, Kaskade, Zedd, Chromeo, Explosions in the Sky, Tyler the Creator, Phantogram, Pusha T, The Glitch Mob, Danny Brown, Seth Troxler, Wavves and more. New Orleanians on the bill include Big Freedia, Generationals, Gravity A and Unicorn Fukr. Two-day ticket, VIP and travel packages are on sale now starting at $169.50.

Last year's festival encountered some challenges with noise complaints from down river, where the Mississippi River helped sound from Buku get to the Bywater. According to organizers, those challenges have been dealt with.
