This week’s live streams features some weekly streaming projects, as well as Lollapalooza’s decision to go virtual this year.

Friday, June 12

Acoustic Folk Project Stayaway PRESENTS: songwriter, multi-Instrumentalist, artist, Joe Crookston. This will begin at 6 pm CT and will stream on YouTube.

Jason Marsalis presents “The Music of My Father.” Hosted by American Routes’ Nick Spitzer, this performance is an installment of the New Orleans Jazz Historic Park’s Facebook live stream series “Golden Hour.” The performance will begin at 6:30pm CT.

#reLIVEBottleRock is back with throwback sets from OneRepublic, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and Neon Trees. This will begin at 8 pm CT.

Saturday, June 13

Former JGB guitarist Zach Nugent & Friends (including Craig Privett on bass, Josh Dobbs on keys, and Joe Chapman on drums) in a free full electric band performance of Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia music and more. This will begin at 3 pm CT.

Ben Folds will host a livestream, Saturday Apartment Requests #12. It will begin at 6 pm CT on YouTube.

Dueling Musicians with Todd Casey and Caleb Hawley: A fundraiser benefitting the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Tickets are $10 and it begins at 8 pm CT.

Sunday, June 14

Dark Star Orchestra lead guitarist Jeff Mattson goes live with classics & obscurities, originals, and the Good Ol’ Grateful Dead. This will begin at 3 pm CT.

Monday, June 15

Waxahatchee will be performing her album Cerulean Salt in entirety to support her band and other indie artists out of work right now. Tickets are $15 and the show begins at 8 pm CT.

Keller Williams will host an 80-minute livestream where he takes requests from listeners. The show is $5 and will begin at 8 pm CT.

Tuesday, June 16

The Parlor Room Home Sessions presents Joe Pernice. This will begin at 8 pm CT.

Angel Olsen Presents COSMIC STREAMS – a series of visual streaming experiences shot by Ashley Connor. For the first in this series, Angel Olsen will be performing Half Way Home, her debut album, (almost) in full in addition to other rarities, streaming from the Church at Echo Mountain Recording in Asheville, NC. The tickets are $15, and a portion of sales will go to YWCA Asheville. This will begin at 8 pm CT.

Lollapalooza decided to officially cancel its Chicago festival, and they have decided to hold a virtual festival instead. The festival urged fans to still set off time for their original allotted days, July 30-August 2, to participate in live streams of “performances from around the city and beyond, epic archival sets from Chicago and the festival’s six international editions, never-before-seen footage from the 1990s and much more.” They will be unveiling a schedule in July.
