1. "Missed the Boat" - Modest Mouse: Rumors have swirled for years about Modest Mouse's followup to the 7-year-old We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, but the band may give a preview of what's to come with a sold out show tonight at the Civic Theatre.
2. "Souvenirs, Souvenirs" - Johnny Hallyday: The icon French singer and actor, or as some say "the French Elvis," comes to the House of Blues on Tuesday.
3. "Real Thing" - tUnE-yArDs: The eccentric indie act tooks its ecstatic sound to new places with the just release Nikki Nack, and Merril Garbus and company will play the Republic on May 31.
4. "Let Go" - Little Dragon: More eccentric indie, fresh this week from the Swedish band's Nabuma Rubberband. Little Dragon plays the Republic on June 10.
5. "Chandelier" - Sia: This new track dropped last week proves the Australian singer/songwriter has picked up some tips after writing songs for the likes of Rihanna and Beyonce, accompanied by what will likely be the most viral music video of 2014.
6. "They Come in Gold" - Shabazz Palaces: The experimental hip hop project announced a followup to 2011's critical hit Black Up with this new track. Lese Majesty is out July 29.
7. "Places" - Shlohmo: The laidback producer has a set Thursday at the Republic.
8. "Like Lust" - Movement: This dark, hypnotic track comes from the Australian trio that released its debut self-titled EP in March.
9. "Girl" - Jamie XX: New from the XX member and producer who gained noteriety after some strong singles a couple years ago as well as a remix of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep."
10. "Party & Dance" - Natty Vibes: The House of Blues was scheduled to go dub on Tuesday for a Natural Vibrations show, but it has been cancelled.
11. "Fever" - The Black Keys: The once garage rock act out of Akron has taken a turn toward the more modern path of 21st century indie rock, and the duo will try to impress once again with a new sound on Turn Blue, out tomorrow but streaming now on iTunes Radio.
12. "Partners in Crime" - Lucinda Williams: The Louisiana-born Americana star is set to play at the House of Blues on May 20.
13. "Loretta's Flowers" - Swearin': The Philly rockers led by Allison Crutchfield, sister to Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield, come to Gasa Gasa on June 6.
14. "Habit" - Ought: Off the post-punk-meets-'90s-rock band's latest LP More Than Any Other Day, the group plays a July 4 set at Gasa Gasa.
